This airline gave a free lifetime pass to a baby born mid-flight

An Indian airline has given its youngest customer the ultimate birthday present. Jet Airways on Sunday said it awarded a free lifetime travel pass to a baby boy born during a flight from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to Kochi in southwest India. The boy is the first baby to be born in-flight for Jet Airways, a spokesperson confirmed by email. Pilots diverted flight 9W 569 to Mumbai on Sunday after a passenger went into premature labor during what would've been a five-hour flight. The airline's crew members, along with a trained paramedic who was traveling that day, provided immediate medical assistance. "The guest delivered a baby boy at 35,000 feet," the spokesperson said. "Upon landing, both mother and the baby were rushed to Holy Spirit Hospital in Mumbai and are doing well." Lagos— ONE hundred and sixty-one Nigerians, who have been stranded in Libya voluntarily returned to the country yesterday on board an Airbus 329 with registration number Nouvelair TS-INB. The returnees journey back  to Nigeria was facilitated by International Oganisation for Migration, IOM, after the Federal Government asked for its assistance after confirming that some Nigerians were  willing to return home. The aircraft conveying the returnees landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, around 3:30pm yesterday aboard the chartered aircraft and the returnees were received at the Hajj Terminal by the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA. Germany: Hamburg Airport Closed Due To Unknown Substance

(Reuters) - German authorities said on Sunday the leak of a corrosive substance through the air conditioning system at Hamburg airport was not an attack, adding that police were investigating the incident that forced the brief closure of the facility. Firefighters and ambulances were rushed to the scene after some 50 people at one terminal complained of eye irritation and breathing difficulties. "I want to explicitly deny ... that this was a terrorist attack. As far as we know it was at no period considered a terrorist attack," Hamburg fire department spokesman Torsten Wessely told a news conference in the northern city.
