Old-Schooling the World of Darkness

First off, I'll be repping White Wolf games tomorrow at the E3 game convention in LA at the Indiecade Showcase so if you're in town, come say hi. I might sign something if you're nice. Now, here's a decapitated body and a blog entry.... So somebody on  my AskFM  was like: Ok, so, tips for making New World of Darkness more like Lamentations of the Flame Princess...: 1. Make sure they're fighting things that can kill them in like 2 hits This is the most important thing. Fear of death keeps you paying attention, fear of death is the mother of invention. Use fire, use silver, use magic, use bigger vampires, use whatever you have to use to make sure the players know if they mess this up there will be a consequence and that consequence  will not be personally pleasant for the player . They will lose that character they spent all that time making. If they think that making a few tactical mistakes just leads to failing forward in a fascinating twist that extends

World’s First Dedicated Bitcoin Bank Opens In Vienna

A dedicated bitcoin bank, possibly the world’s first, has opened on Mariahilfer Strasse in downtown Vienna,  Austria , according to  The Local , an English-language Austrian news site. The bank is owned by a Berlin-based blockchain startup, Bit Trust Services, and it is named Bitcoin-Bank. The bank is designed to make buying and selling bitcoin easier and safer than other in-person options. The bank’s ATM machines exchange  bitcoin  for euro, and vice versa. The bank also provides information about the virtual currency. Magdalena Isbrandt, managing director of Bit Trust, told state broadcaster ORF that digital currency transactions are faster than other transactions and can be done without a middleman. “Value and money can be sent straight from user to user,” she said. Touting Digital’s Advantages Andreas Petersson, co-founder of Bitcoin Austria, said digital currency’s main advantage is anonymity. “If I pay online with bitcoin, I have a degree of privacy,” Pe

World seeing old US enmity towards Iran under Trump: Tehran

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi Tehran has once again slammed Washington’s recent belligerent rhetoric and measures against Iran, saying the world is currently witnessing age-old enmity of the United States towards the Islamic Republic under the administration of President Donald Trump. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi made the remarks on Thursday in response to the latest anti-Iran claims by White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. The Iranian official said the news coming out every day on Trump’s decisions, false remarks by some new US officials, in addition to widespread anti-Trump protests both at home and abroad “clearly show a change of president in the US.” After taking office, the new US president ordered sweeping travel bans against a number of Muslim-majority countries, including the Islamic Republic. The order was followed by widespread domestic and international backlash. Qassemi further said, “There may have been changes inside the

Israeli prime minister hopes to gather anti-Iran support in world tour

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on board an aircraft Israel’s hawkish prime minister has started out a string of significant overseas visits with the clearly-stated aim of magnetizing enmity towards Iran.  “We are at the start of a significant diplomatic period” for Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday before going on the tour,  The Guardian   reported. The visits will take him to the UK, the US and Australia. “In the diplomatic sphere, I intend to emphasize the need for a common front against Iran’s defiant aggression, which has raised its head in recent days. This must be done on an ongoing basis, but especially in light of Iran’s defiance against the international order,” he added. The premier has never ceased to stigmatize Iran throughout his career atop the Israeli political hierarchy, but he has been more signally leading the hostile policy since 2015, when the Islamic Republic and world powers, including the UK and the US, clinched a landmark nuclear accord

Susan Buffett reveals the surprising way she found out that her dad, Warren Buffett, was rich

Susan Buffett didn't find out her father, billionaire Warren Buffett, was rich until her early 20s, and she definitely didn't hear it from her parents. "I didn’t really have any idea about any money until I was long out of high school and out of Omaha," Susan recently told Business Insider. "There was an article in the Wall Street Journal at one point when I was probably about 22 or 23, I'd say. That was the first time I was like, 'Oh, there's more going on than I knew about!'" The founder of the Sherwood Foundation, a children's charity, Susan takes part in a portrait of her father, HBO's "Becoming Warren Buffett," which premiered Monday. In the documentary, Susan provides intimate details about her parents, growing up in the family's home in Omaha, Nebraska, and what drove her father to give away a large chunk of his fortune to charitable causes. As for finding out that her father was rich from a news article, sh
